Don’t use native encryption if you’re not willing to lose the entire pool - and possibly any pool you zfs send
an encrypted snapshot to. There are quite a few bugs/issues with native encryption, some of which generally result in the complete destruction of the pool. I use it on my laptop because the benefits of encryption on a mobile device outweigh the risks of the OpenZFS implementation.
