Why this wording, by default?

I don’t intend to create a poll.

“Post voting topic” means Stack Exchange style, with votes on answers floating to the top. The other variety produces standard chronological-only forum threads. Nothing to do with polls either way.

You can click the + sign and remove voting and create a regular topic.
