Problem with rpm-kmod builds with 2.2.x

I am on Fedora and I’ve been building the 2.1.x branch without any issues until I updated to kernel 6.6.x. With that update I had to changed my build script pull the latest 1.2.x release. No problem with that. However on reboot my pools don’t so up.

When I run modeprobe zfs I get an error modprobe: FATAL: Module zfs not found in directory.... Okay, rpm -q shows I have 2.2.2-1 installed

If I dig deeper and run ls /lib/modules/$(rpm -qa kernel --queryformat '%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH}')/extra/zfs/* I just see two files spl.ko & zfs.ko.

If I compare that to a system I’ve yet to update with 2.1.x and kernel 6.5.x I see multiple folders each with a *.ko file.

I’ve done a search in the openzfs/zfs issue tracker and don’t seem to find any mention of this issue. I can’t imagine I’m the only one to have run into this.
