I previously tried getting ZFSBootMenu installed on an older iMac, as a fresh install. Getting everything to work with the iMac hardware wasn’t working, so I gave up. But I finally decided to upgrade my daily driver laptop to Debian 12 from 11. Rather then going through the upgrade process, I thought it would be a good time to upgrade to a new SSD, and start using ZFS.
I now have a fresh Debian 12 install without a DE on ZFSBootMenu.
The is there anything I should do before I install a DE, and copy my files from the old SSD to my new install?
After I get it up and running again, I’ll install Sanoid, and start taking snapshots.
