Unknown degraded reason

Can anyone explain why this pool is degraded. It’s an internal SSD used a boot drive and general-purpose desktop storage.

I suspect a blip with reading the SSD.

  pool: rpool
 state: DEGRADED
status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An
attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected.
action: Determine if the device needs to be replaced, and clear the errors
using 'zpool clear' or replace the device with 'zpool replace'.

Then I did a scrub… oh dear:

I changed the kinked sata cable and run another scrub. When I put the compact PC together the DVD drive cage caused the damage.
