What are you using for the 1 in the 3-2-1 strategy? I’d love to use rsync.net, but its pricing is just too steep for me as a professional hobbyist.
I do not want to give up incremental snapshots etc., so what I did so far was setting up a FreeBSD host with delegated ZFS jails. Is there anything that offers this as a service, so I don’t need to worry about it?

I self host (counting clients’ own secondary sites as “self” in context) in most instances, and use rsync.net when somebody wants their off-site to specifically be “in the cloud.”

I am using a BX21 storage box with 5 TB for 13 EUR (15 USD) per month. It is also hostetd on zfs and you can do snapshots.
If I get the pricing right for rsync.net they are charging 1.5 Cents Per GB / Month which is 75 USD / month for 5 TB. That is 5 times more expensive than Hetzner.
Wait, Hetzner StorageBox uses ZFS? That’d be news to me. Is that documented somewhere?
I could not find an official general statement that their storage boxes are using zfs.

The zpool / zfs commands are not available in the restricted shell on the storage box itself. But the admin GUI has functions to create / restore / delete snapshots from the repo.
For remote backup I’m doing an encrypted “borgbackup” over ssh to a 1 TB Hetzner storagebox each night.
A ZFS sync to a storagebox is not possible (even though I guess they are using ZFS under the hood,
as they offer snapshots located under /.zfs/snapshot).
I recently saw a LTT video where Linus gets to tour one of Hetzner’s data centers. It seems they use consumer hardware over the typical enterprise server stuff, and they do some other things to keep costs down, so it’s cheaper for customers.

On a subset of high-value low-turnover files for which I need long-term archives, I burn Blu-ray discs and move them to a vault off site. BD-R XL = 100GB. The conventional Blu-ray (HTL) uses a phase change alloy that should be stable for many years (unlike the dye used in writable DVDs). Slim spare drive fits in the same vault…just in case. Not exactly automatic, but minimal dependence on 3rd party services.
